Come at lunch time to socialize, nibble & expand your recipe collection! Enjoy a cooking demo and lesson with real, local, and fresh foods by renowned Frederick caterer & teacher, Veggie Annie! There will be generous samples for lunch and you will leave w/ the recipes. Come to Ananda Shala for a lunchtime cooking class and demo with Veggie Annie! This class is devoted to Fall’s abundance. We’ll create an artful and extremely savory main dish: Roasted Pumpkin Cutlets, served with or without Goat Cheese; and a bright, snappy side dish of Sparkling Apple Salad with Crystallized Ginger. Sample Annie’s fantastic, fragrant Rosemary Cocktail Walnuts, as well – perfect for an omega-three packed appetizer or snack. Come prepared for generous tastings in class. Take-home recipes provided.

Veggie Annie has been an organic caterer, personal chef and cooking teacher for over a decade and a half. She’s a “vegetable evangelist” – spreading the word of the fabulousness of veggies, local goods and organics, as well as seasonal cooking and eating, wherever she goes. Events include classes on veggies, tofu, chocolate, and local meats, cheeses and eggs. Classes are held in your home, or at locations around the region. She’s an easy-going, engaging instructor who empowers her students to create delicious meals full of great health, laughter and fun.
