Engage a tranquil current of stability and integration that gives rise to a movement of the breath that both heals and restores. Learn to teach an effective and gentle form of yoga that applies to the entire population and offers therapeutic resonance and relief to spaces and places of "stuck-ness" or pain.
The Gentle Bala Yoga teacher training aims at the foundational forms of asana and the deeply nourishing practices that leave a student in a space of radical restoration. We will interweave a deep exploration of healing postures for all ages and all levels of ability, breathing practices that heal and renewal, restorative postures and visualization, and the spaces of meditation that bring a mind to deep and intuitive calm. Toned into the trainings are deep investigations into yogic history, comparative philosophy, and sacred text study.
The only thing more inspiring than embodying this practice is feeling the call to share it with others. Learn to teach a practice that shimmers within the healing flow of us all. At the end of this space in time, feel confident sharing a gentle movement practice that pours itself into a pervasive restorative yoga offering. Slow down, delve deep.
Those who have completed this training experience a confidence: verbally guiding a class through a detailed spinal sequence practice; weaving lessons, stories, and guided meditations to support the breath and imagery of a practice; as well as expressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits of rest to enhance the swift currents of life on and off the mat.
