Namaskaram!
Maria Garre on the Ganga in Rishikesh, India – January 2011
As Spring is slowly making it’s way offering the promise of light, warmth and renewal, our line up teachers and workshops reflects and supports this seasonal shift. If you feel the need to refresh inspiration and vigor, I can’t think of a better way to revitalize yourself then through learning and inner growth. Sometimes our minds become stuck or stagnant yet our bodies are ready for change and stimulation; but, we don’t answer the call and soon the body follows the mind. In Ayurveda we call this crimes again wisdom – ignoring the voice that is urging and pleading for action. Winter hibernation and stagnation can often make their home inside the Self and now it’s time to melt and ignite that which is dormant as the Sun illuminates the path.
The next few months are bountiful with offerings. And, as I mention every month you don’t have to be interested in being a Yoga teacher to register as we are ALL student’s of Yoga. Ask yourself what do you wish to awaken this month? You can choose from the structural approach with Andrew’s anatomy workshop to the esoteric teachings of Chakra Vinyasa, moving in a mandala (circle) in Fluid Power, or perhaps exploring your inner resonance and vibration, expanding your mind through Sanskritam with Pierre.
Spring Blessings,
Maria Garre
P.S. Look out for April’s issue of Yoga Journal and read my first published meditation practice!

I Will Not Die and Unlived Life
I will not die an unlived life.
I will not live in fear Of falling or catching fire.
I choose to inhabit my days
To allow my living to open me,
To make me less afraid,
More accessible;
To loosen my heart Until it becomes a wing,
A torch, a promise.
I choose to risk my significance,
To live so that which came to me as seed,
Goes to the next as blossom,
And that which came to me as blossom,
Goes on as fruit.
